Just like we shared about our elementary school’s role in Academic and Career Planning, Random Lake middle school also helps students take an active role in shaping their future through Individualized Academic and Career Planning!
Our program includes:
📚 A semester-long ACP course covering self-awareness, career exploration, and planning—plus hands-on elective tours!
🎭 A wide range of electives to help students discover their passions and future career possibilities.
📢 ACP conferences for 8th graders and families to discuss goals, course selection, and career paths.
🔗 "Transition to High School" in May, where RLHS Freshman Mentors guide 8th graders through the next big step!
We’re committed to preparing students for success—in high school and beyond!

This afternoon, RLHS had a pep rally to send off our wrestlers and esports team to state! We also welcomed RLHS alumna Miranda Hurley, now a Clinical Coordinator for Radiologic Technology at Ascension St. Joseph. She encouraged students to "get involved" and shared valuable advice for those considering a career in healthcare.
Best of luck to our athletes, and thank you, Miranda, for inspiring the next generation!

Individualized Academic and Career Planning is a priority in our district, giving students real-world experiences to explore their future careers.
Yesterday, Mr. Frias and Ms. Miller took students interested in sports management, exercise physiology, physical therapy, and personal training on a tour of the Sports Core in Kohler, WI. The visit provided valuable insights into these fields, with a behind-the-scenes look at the 5-star facility.

A Belated Look at a Valentine's Feast in Science Class!
Mrs. Weeks' American Wilderness Science class celebrated Valentine's Day with a unique treat—pheasant stroganoff, bacon-wrapped pheasant, and roasted veggies! Students harvested the pheasants earlier this year at The Highlands Hunt Club and put their skills to the test by cooking up some delicious dishes.

Every year, the Lion's Club partners with our Health Services staff to provide vision screenings for Random Lake students, ensuring they have every advantage for healthy vision! This year, 193 students were screened using the Lion Club's Welch Allyn Vision Spot Screener, a tool that helps detect potential vision concerns.
A big thank you to our dedicated volunteers—Blaine Werner, Tom Silver—and our amazing Health Services team—Sara Stout, Areli Parkinson, and Debbie Kurth—for making this possible! 💙
