On Sunday, February 2nd, 8 Random Lake students traveled to Brookfield Central High School to compete in the FTC Qualifier—and what a day it was! The team placed 3rd out of 21 teams, earning a spot in the double-elimination State Playoffs in their very first year of FTC!
During playoffs, they had an incredible first win (106-12), narrowly missed their third game (92-97), and came so close to qualifying for State. What an impressive debut season!

Yesterday, our Spanish 2 students practiced their navigation skills with a fun, hands-on activity! 🗺️
Signs were placed around the school to represent different "locations" in a city. Students followed Spanish audio directions to locate their group's hidden flag—putting their language skills into action.
Every group succeeded, and we hope they walked away feeling more confident about navigating a Spanish-speaking community! 🌟

Random Lake Middle School held its monthly assembly last Friday, focusing on the theme of resilience. Student Leadership Members shared insights on the topic, and Mrs. McDonald honored a student for exemplifying resilience. The assembly also recognized the Boys' Basketball Teams, Spelling Bee Participants, Lego League Team, and First Tech Challenge Team. To close, the band delivered a powerful performance of "Resilience."

🎉 Rams vs Cancer Success! 🎉
We are thrilled to share that our Rams vs Cancer event raised over $1,800 for Pink Heals of Sheboygan County! 💗 This incredible amount will help provide support for those battling cancer right here in Sheboygan County.
The funds were raised through:
✅ T-shirt sales (designed and printed in-house by Mr. Jacobson's classes!)
✅ "Chuck-a-Duck" fundraisers at both halftimes (with many winners donating their winnings back 💕)
✅ "Miracle Minute" dashes for cash
✅ A generous donation from the RL Basketball Club
Special recognition goes to our NHS students, who Pink Heals specifically praised for their hands-on involvement throughout the fundraiser. 🌟
A huge THANK YOU to everyone who contributed—our community came together in a big way to support this important cause. 💪🐏

We’re excited to announce that Jennifer Sticker has accepted the position of Head Volleyball Coach at Random Lake, effective immediately!
Jennifer brings a wealth of coaching experience and a deep passion for volleyball. She has coached for years, including four seasons as the JV1 Coach at Sheboygan Lutheran, and is entering her 6th season with South Shore Slam, currently serving as the head coach of the 18 Lime team.
In Jennifer’s own words:
"I am a 'young' mother of two amazing daughters, Kaitlyn and Alex. My youngest is currently playing basketball at Ripon College. I am trained as a Nurse Practitioner but found my calling in one-to-one health caregiving as I love the relationships I can develop. I have been coaching volleyball as long as I can remember, including 4 years as the JV1 Coach at Sheboygan Lutheran and currently entering my 6th season at South Shore Slam, this year as head coach of the 18 Lime team. I promise to bring energy and positivity to the court every day. I have three dogs, three cats, and a husband I cannot define, lol. So excited to get into Random Lake. Let's have some fun!"

Due to the cold weather warning, all classes for Tuesday, January 21, 2025, are canceled. This is the first inclement weather day of the year, so no virtual learning is required.
Afterschool Activities:
All afterschool activities scheduled for Monday (January 20) and Tuesday (January 21) will proceed as planned, with the following exceptions:
-The Middle School Boys Basketball game on Tuesday will be rescheduled.
-The Weight Room will be closed both AM and PM on Tuesday.

Each year Mrs. Weeks' American WIlderness Science Class receives grants from the Wisconsin Chapter of Safari Club International for their pheasant hunt. This chapter wants this community to know about a great opportunity for youth to show off their deer harvested (buck or doe) at their upcoming FREE event in Brookfield!

Rams vs Cancer Fundraiser
Join us on January 28 for a special Rams vs Cancer Double Header as both the boys' and girls' basketball teams take on Mishicot! 💗
This year, all proceeds from our Rams vs Cancer t-shirts will be donated to Pink Heals of Sheboygan County to support local families affected by cancer.
