Our 1st graders have been busy putting their perseverance and problem-solving skills to the test! Working together to complete puzzles and build towers using cups, straws, and tape, students learned the importance of patience, teamwork, and not giving up when things get challenging.
As they tested their ideas, adjusted their plans, and tried again, they discovered that mistakes are opportunities to learn and that great things can happen when we work together!
We are so proud of their creativity, determination, and willingness to keep trying, even when things didn’t go as planned. These hands-on activities are wonderful reminders that success isn’t just about reaching the goal—it’s about persevering through the process!

The High School Hatchet Club enjoyed a great day outdoors! The group started at Parnell Tower and hiked about 8 miles to the Hamburger Haus in Dundee. Along the way, they took in the beautiful fall colors and enjoyed some time together outside.
After the hike, they got to work carving pumpkins. The pumpkins will be put to good use at Random Lake’s Trunk or Treat and Haunted Trail.
It was a beautiful day for our High School Hatchet Club Students!

Our students and teachers from the Random Lake School District Generations Program spent a special day at Gables on the Pond bringing a little fall festival to the residents.
We built scarecrows, got creative with fall coloring, and enjoyed spending time with some furry and feathered friends! The biggest hit was the petting zoo from Platinum Sky Farm. We can’t thank them enough for bringing the animals and making the day extra special.
These shared experiences help build meaningful connections between our students and the residents of Gables on the Pond, bringing joy to the residents while giving students valuable opportunities to learn from, connect with, and brighten the days of another generation.
