We are looking back at an incredible adventure from July!
Four Random Lake High School agriculture students/Random Lake FFA members, two Random Lake High School parents, and Ms. Rathke spent a week exploring the Land of Fire and Ice—ICELAND! 🌋❄️
The group traveled the Golden Circle, visiting Thingvellir National Park, Gullfoss Waterfall, and the Geysir geothermal area. They also toured a greenhouse powered by geothermal and hydroelectric energy and got to see Icelandic horses up close.
They experienced the power of Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss waterfalls and visited the famous black sand beaches of Vík, where they learned about the dangers of “sneaker waves.”
Students took part in hands-on learning at the state-of-the-art Lava Centre and toured the Hellisheiði Geothermal Power Plant.
To top off the adventure, they went whale watching and enjoyed a dip in the Blue Lagoon!
What an amazing opportunity for our students to learn, explore, and experience a whole new part of the world!

Before the school day got underway, our seniors gathered for a Senior Sunrise. They cooked breakfast together—including bacon and eggs—brought treats to share, played music, and enjoyed a little friendly competition with some yard games.
A great morning spent together and a fun way to officially kick off their last year at Random Lake High School.

The RL Rams Basketball Club registration for boys and girls entering grades 3-6 is now open for the 2026-2027 Season! 🏀
If anyone in 7th/8th grade wants to sign up, please send us an email.
K-2nd graders should watch for a signup coming this fall.
The Random Lake Basketball Club plays basketball games on Saturdays with 1-2 practices during the week.
Registration fee-$100/player
Volunteer fee-$150/player
If 4+ hours of volunteer work is completed on dates where RL hosts games, then the volunteer fee is returned. The Volunteer Fee is refunded approximately 1 month after the completion of the boys’ season.
